RIFT news tidbits for 5th Feb 2015.

General

• Website Outage. Since the time of this post, Trion’s websites have been offline for at least 10hrs. Trion are working to resolve the issue. [r] The RIFT Forums are still up though.

• Tyrant’s Forge Progression. A few guilds have already been taking down some of the bosses of the new Tyrant’s Forge that was released on Wednesday. Congratulations to Trinity (World 1st), Apotheosys (World 2nd) and Crayons (World 3rd) for defeating PUMPKIN! Best of luck to them against the final boss, Mechanical Crucia. Full Tyrant’s Forge progression can be found at RIFT Progress/Top of Rift.

• Base Amender Recipe Cost Reduction. The cost of purchasing normal Amender recipes is going to be reduced to 10 Grandmaster Craftsman’s Mark, 35 Master Craftsman’s Mark and 90 Artisan’s Mark. That’s a significant reduction on its current cost. No ETA. [r]

• Dire Corruption Stacking Info. Vladd explains how Dire Corruption works. Players can only be affected by one instance of Dire Corruption per caster, but multiple Reavers can stack on a single player. Mobs greater than 7m apart will both be affected, but mobs within 7m will only have one instance of Dire Corruption applied to them. [r]

• Tempest Auto-Attack. Vladd confirms that Tempest Auto-attack range is 33m, not 35m. Does not seem to indicate a fix is in the works since “auto attack is such a low amount of damage and normally doesn’t trigger procs”. [r]

• Port Scion Changes. Daglar is looking at potentially modifying how much the Idols in Port Scion reward, admitting that they might have tuned Port Scion to make the warfront too short. [r]

• Red Hawk on Mages. Red Hawk, the new Cleric and Mage dev, has posted his first posts since introducing himself last month:
  • There’s no immediate news on Harbinger changes, but they are on his list. [r]
  • Looking to buff Necromancer’s Mass Grave and Empty the Crypts, and a buff so that players will want to cast Plague Bolt on targets affected by Corpse Explosion. [r]
