Carnival of the Ascended 2015

The Carnival of the Ascended World Event is on-going, celebrating the 4th Anniversary of RIFT! New Carnival goods such as masks, weapon costumes, ‘bubble’ Dimension items, Carousel Ram mount and Level 65 Essences can be found on the RIFT Store -> World Event.

Temporal Flux Promo Week

Temporal Flux Promo Week is on-going. There’s a ‘Temporal Flux Vault III’ that contains a rare chance at a Black Empyreal Walker mount as well as daily quests that reward event currency.

General

• Return to Hammerknell. An additional note on the announcements made during PAX East – the Tier 2 raid “Return to Hammerknell” will be released on April 12th 2015 Some time in April. [r]

  • That’s in just over a month’s time. The likely Hit requirement will be 1,200 (150 x 8 Hit gear pieces).
  • There’s some discussion as to whether the date for Tier 2 release is a little too soon as only 7 guilds (as of this post) have downed Crucia in the current tier’s raids.

• Further Dimensions Info:
  • A 40-NPCs limit is in place for Dimensions because the NPCs “can be a server resource hog”.
  • Some ideas are floating around for dimension-related storage but nothing is set in stone or approved yet. [r]
  • Morticus will be looking for suggestions on new dimension material types and shapes “in the very near future”. Get your list ready!
  • Morticus and Gingers have been floating the idea of creating a “Dimension Hub” instance that contains a showroom of new dimension items added into the game, a merchant with access to the store, auctioneer, Dream Weaver trainer, workstation and banker. There would also be themed rooms surrounding the instance with a portal that links to your dimension UI. Check out more details here. Not set in stone and not approved yet. [r]

• Archonix Letter Incoming. CM Ocho has stated that RIFT Game Director Archonix will have a letter with more information in regards to the announcements that were made at PAX East. [r]
  • [The fact CM Ocho mentions “letter” and not “post/article” might indicate that Archonix is preparing a State of the Game address.] The last ‘semi’-State letter was a post announcing that Archonix was promoted to Game Director back on 3rd Dec 2014. The previous also-‘semi’-State letter was Daglar’s “Preview RIFT 3.0” post back in June 2014. The last “RIFT State of the Game Address”-titled article was on 12th Nov 2013, so we’re well due for another one.
  • In any case; keep an eye out!
