PTS Update 24th April 2015

PTS update RIFT’s latest Public Test Shard (‘PTS’) on 24th April 2015. HK Itemization pass #2, Wardrobe Favorites + tooltip additions and more HK IA changes.

Summary:

• Wardrobe Update. Favorites + Tooltips update.
• HK IAs. Boss hp beefed, certain issues fixed, teleports.
• T2 Hammerknell Itemization Round 2. Item drops from HK have been beefed up. Some stats changed.
• T2 Shoulder Relic Upgrade.

As always, everything below is subject to change prior to hitting Live and some things included below may never make it to Live release.

Wardrobe Update

The Wardrobe system has two new additions: Favorites and more Tooltips.

Favorites

Rift Wardrobe Favorites

Wardrobe Favorites are up on the PTS. Simply right-click on an appearance to add it to the Favorites bar at the top of your appearance selection window.

• Favorited appearances get a yellow star in the bottom-right corner of their icon.
• You can have a max of 7 favorite slots per appearance slot.

Tooltips Update

Rift Wardrobe Tooltips Update

The tooltips for wardrobe have been updated:

• There’s now red text for appearances you’ve already collected.
• Wardrobe tooltips will now tell you the name of appearance (not your item’s name) as well as its Slot and Category in the appearance selection window.

Not interested in seeing all this extra tooltip info?

No problem! Just hit ESC key -> Settings -> Interface -> Misc and untick “Show collected wardrobe status” to get rid of the red tooltip text for item appearances you’ve already collected.

HK IA Update

A lot of the feedback/issues from the previous PTS Playtest for the Hammerknell Instant Adventures have been looked at. Boss hp has been buffed, but mechanics are one-shotting players – this is getting adjusted, with mechanics remaining intact.

Various teleports have also been added in to make the trek between areas less tedious.

Expect more playtests this week.

Tier 2 Hammerknell Itemization Round 2

Trion has gone over the HK drops again and have beefed most of them up. Some stat changes have been made as well (such as certain physical/spell crit items turning into critical power items).

The Shoulderguards of Torment (Rogue) dropped from Rune King Molinar is a good example of an item you might find undesirable on Live, but which it’s pretty good on PTS.

Other items simply got a stat increase, like the Shadowswift Legwraps (Rogue) which also drops from Rune King Molinar:

Note: As always, everything below is subject to change, but do keep in mind the PTS stats when deciding whether to pass on loot dropped on Live.

Keep an eye out for drops from HK on Live and make sure you aren’t passing on gear that might end up being quite worth your while to get.

T2 Shoulder Relic Upgrade

T2-dropped shoulders have a Relic upgrade. This only applies to Shoulders.

This is present on Live as well, but I thought I’d include this here since it’s something new and the stats are likely different between Live and PTS due to the recent itemization pass.

How to Upgrade

Empowered Shoulderguards of Torment Upgrade

Upgrading is the same as with any item – Hit ALT+left-click and if you have the correct upgrade components you can proceed to upgrade the item.

You first need to upgrade the shoulders to Empowered where you’ll get synergy crystal bonus. Afterwards, the Relic upgrade requires an Eye of Untold Madness and a Nightmare Textile or Metal Amender (depending on gear type).

It’s not a huge upgrade and you’ll want to save your initial Eyes of Untold Madness for weapon upgrades which give a huge boost, especially given some of the procs you can get.

Wardrobe Favorites/tooltips and HK itemization changes this time round. Nothing interesting in data files.
