Resident dataminer TehFrank has dug up a bombshell of a reveal: a Work-In-Progress version of the 3.0 Nightmare Tide main map!

Our mini-map compilations weren’t too far off from what the Plane of Water actually looks like. It looks like they’ve stuck with 3 zones although this is a WIP and there could potentially be a 4th zone somewhere (or perhaps later down the line; like Ember Isle for Vanilla RIFT and The Dendrome for Storm Legion).
The right-most area’s glacial region could potentially indicated a 4th zone although other than Magelo’s datamining of Myrkur Depths and the 3.0 Whiteboard’s “4 zones” brainstorm, there’s no other indication of a 4th zone from the map.
Note: As this is a Work-in-Progress map, it may not end up looking like this in its final form. To give you an idea, here’s a Storm Legion work-in-progress map.

Speculation
Here’s some speculation on the different parts of the Nightmare Tide map based on what we already know about 3.0:
This is based on:
- The porticulum and instance names that we know of [r].
- Gyel Fortress Image. [r]
- Izbithu Image with the lake creature Izbithu, what looks like Mount Sharax and what seems to be the Glacial Maw Dungeon entrance. [r]
A very interesting find by TehFrank! This is WIP though so highly subject to change – previous WIP images for Storm Legion have been rather different from what it looks like now.

TehFrank isn’t a tester and these were datamined from the PTS files. Given that he’s been datamining the updates for years – I think he’s safe.
Is there a possibility that this new zone is heavily dependent on instanced areas? This seems pretty small compared to storm legion (unless its stuffed with content).
I’ve seen comments that it is actually quite large compared to what is on the map and that there’s a possible 4th zone not yet displayed in the WIP map. If we compare to Storm Legion continents it isn’t small at all – but that depends on the ‘zoom’ for the Storm Legion maps compared to this WIP map. There’s plenty of instance names that TehFrank datamined as well plus you have to include the ‘layers’ of content.
