PTS Update + Datamining for 11th July 2015

RIFT updated the Public Test Shard (‘PTS’) on 11th July with an ~120mb update! TEST-302-90-A-1020194. Further Planar Crafted gear changes including addition of weapon procs, +150 Hit Necklaces on RIFT Store, Frenetic gear gets +150 Hit and other minor changes.

Planar Crafted Gear Updated

The Planar Crafted gear coming in 3.3 next week has been updated with some stat adjustments as well as procs for weapons.

You can compare the updated stats below with the previous PTS Update’s stats here.

Briefly:

• Endurance values have increased.
• Main/Secondary Stats have decreased.
• Weapons (except off-hand and ranged) now have procs. The base item (not upgraded) has the same proc.

Note: Bonus set tooltip is wrong. It actually gives +150 Main Stat. [r]

Recipe Cost Change

Recipe costs have changed. They follow a similar ‘formula’ between gear. As mentioned in past PTS Updates, each class and DPS/Tank uses different Imperishable (relic) mats.

Imperishable (relic) mats are obtained from new Planar Crafting Rifts coming in 3.3. Also available on RIFT Store -> Crafting for 1,000 Credits (900 for Patron).

Cleric Armor (Armorsmith)

Accessories (Artificer)

All accessories follow a similar pattern:

Earring/Ring/Trinket

• 100/100/100 Pelagic Fragments
• 10 Endless Dust
• 10 Teal Wax

Which Imperishable you need is the same as for Armor.

(Pelagic Fragments only sell for ~9g on AH right now. Think it’ll increase next week?)

Upgrade Cost Change

Upgrade costs have also changed slightly. Previously you needed Strands of Arak in every single upgrade. Now this requirement has changed based on item:

• All planar crafted armor upgrades use Strands of Arak.
• All planar crafted weapon and accessory upgrades use Strands of Draum.

Other upgrade costs remain unchanged. Other mats needed to upgrade the planar crafted gear include:

• 1x Imperishable [Element]. The one you need is same as for the Armor recipe costs mentioned above.
• Various amounts of Void Source Accelerators.
• Nightmare Metal Amender for armor.
• Nightmare Weapon Amender for weaponsmith weapons.
• Dreaming Ornament Amender for artificer 2-handed staves.
• Dreaming Rune Amender for artificer off-hand (totems) ranged weapons (wands).
• Dreaming Ornament Amender for accessories.

Looks like Nightmare Tide mats are going to get a little boost in price on the Auction House on July 15th 2015! Suggestion: Stock up on mats before 3.3?

RIFT Store T1 Necklaces

RIFT Store -> Equipment -> Accessories now has Tier 1 necklaces (+150 Hit). These are side-gradeable to their other tertiary stats. Costs 16,500 Fragments of Horror (T1 raid marks) each.

• Sidegrades cost 4x Abyssal Crusader’s Accelerators and 2x Advanced Ornament Amender.

Note: First necklace in each row below is the base item.

T1 Store Necklace: Cleric

T1 Store Necklace: Mage

T1 Store Necklace: Warrior

T1 Store Necklace: Rogue

Unsure when these will hit Live, but the assumption is next week (3.3 launch).

DPS/Healers will probably want to sidegrade. As such, demand for Advanced Ornament Amenders will likely increase when 3.3 hits.

Wardrobe Bundle Recipe Cost Change

The craftable wardrobe bundles coming in RIFT 3.3 have had their recipes changed.

They still don’t require much compared to their Credit alternative on the RIFT Store. However, the recipes have had a marked increase in store reagent costs.

For instance, the Recipe: Desolate Chain Bundle now requires:

• 99 Salt Flux (i.e. 99p)
• 30 Diaphanous Cloth
• 20 Fabled Leather
• 15 Thalasite Bar

That’s still vastly cheaper than the 850 Credits for the store-bought bundle.

Level 60 Character Pack

There’s a new Pack under RIFT Store -> Services on the PTS called “Level 60 Character Pack”.

It seems to contain the exact same items as the Instant Level 60 Character Pack that you get from Infusion and Ultimate Nightmare Edition Packs. However, this version can’t be traded to other players (Bound to Account) and the Pack is not giftable.

The Level 60 Character Pack costs 6,000 Credits (5,400 for Patron).

Random Chronicle Reward Decreased

The Random Chronicle rewards have been halved from their original placeholder values. They are now half of what Dungeon/Warfront Randoms give.

Random Chronicles will be coming to RIFT in Patch 3.3: Waking Nightmares (July 15th 2015).

Frenetic Gear +150 Hit

Frenetic Gear is the upgrade to (Empowered) Dreambreaker (PvP) gear. With the latest PTS Update, the Hit has increased from +125 to +150.

Frenetic Gear will hit Live on July 15th 2015 with Patch 3.3.

Dimension Item: Sheep

New interactive dimension item under RIFT Store -> Dimension -> Interactive. “Sheep – No Snap” moves around unless you right-click the item whilst in your inventory (in which case it’ll change to “Sheep – Stationary”, preventing it from moving).

Linking Wardrobes

You can now link and preview linked wardrobe appearances straight from the Wardrobe tab!

Unfortunately you can’t preview wardrobe items from the upcoming Appearance Sets tab.

Wardrobe Adjustments

Some changes to the no. of wardrobes since the last update. Mainly decreases by 1-5 in various slots.

Not sure what’s going on with the weapon drops. Initially it seemed like Trion was removing in the Nightmare Saga weapon skins in preparation for 3.3 launch (since the Nightmare Weapons won’t be available until Act III, 4 weeks after 3.3 launch). However, this is fairly inconsistent. Although some categories didn’t have the Nightmare Saga weapon skins, others (like Sword) does.

Chances are there’s just some duplicates or skins that crept into the wardrobe system when it was first launched that weren’t intended to be added in.

Also, Appearance Sets have decreased from 365 to 309.

Shard Vault to Server Vault

The Account Vault was changed to Shard Vault in the last update, and has gotten another name change to Server Vault.

Primalist Trainers Changed

All Primalist Trainers on the PTS have had their ‘faction text’ changed to <Mysterious Traveler>.

This is likely in preparation for the 3.3 Patch on July 15th 2015. Keeping them as <Primalist Trainer> might cause unnecessary confusion as to whether the Primalist is available in-game yet or not.

Not much information is known about the Primalist. However – according to the 10th July 2015 Livestream – Archonix and Anony seem to have hinted that an announcement would be made on the Primalist at GamesCom.

Ascended Rarity

The Power Pack has been updated. The Ascended Mantle is now Pink in color (instead of Magenta) and the Auction House ‘Rarity’ drop-down now shows a new rarity “Ascended”.

Tenebrian Deity

Slipmat over on the RIFT Forums discovered that the Mathosians on the PTS have all had their race text replaced by “Tenebrian Deity” on the Character Selection screen.

Datamining

Not much in today’s update.

Power Pack Feature Image

Three feature images have popped up for the Power Pack bundle. It shows off the cape, Ember Lifter mount and Trove Boosts that you get from the pack.

Given that there’s a feature image for them already, we might be seeing them pretty shortly in-game.

Sound Files

There were a few sound files. Mob_Electrolocus; Mob_Jeeves, Critter_Piggybank and Mob_Sharknoid.

• Electrolocus just sounds like any electric wisp.
• Piggybank is the Silver Tier Loyalty companion pet reward.
• Sharknoid is basically the Thresher mounts. Given that there’s a Nightmare Thresher mount being added on July 15th and there’s an Abyssal Thresher mount being added on July 29th, it seems some mount-specific sounds might have been inserted in.

The most interesting one is Mob_Jeeves, which is one of the companion pets that you will be able to craft on your Artificer when 3.3 arrives.

Other Files

Other files were mainly existing ones or general architecture. Probably more work on game optimization.

Planar Crafted armor got a bit of a nerf, but it’s still quite desirable for most players. Planar Crafted weapons received some much-needed procs and Frenetic gear now has 150 Hit.

Look forward to an increase in cost for most Nightmare Tide mats as demand increases significantly from all the Planar Crafted and crafted fluff additions hitting RIFT on July 15th 2015!
