Open Testing

Open testing for the Primalist calling and the Planetouched Wilds zone is up on the Public Test Shard. You can learn more about accessing the PTS, gearing up and posting feedback here.

General

• Planned Shard Downtime. Get ready for RIFT 3.3: Hotfix #13 tomorrow.
  • North America: 9/23/15 at 6AM PDT. Est. downtime = 4hrs due to additional maintenance.
  • Europe: 9/24/15 at 1AM GMT. Est. downtime = 1hr.

• Road to Primalist: REX Giveaway. Latest giveaway on RiftGrate has two more REX up for grabs to celebrate the upcoming launch of the Primalist calling. The giveaway ends this Sunday. Check out the details here!

• RIFT 3.4 Preview: Planetouched Wilds. Trion has posted up a new article with various screenshots of the Planetouched Wilds. The article also includes brief information about some of the locales in the zone. Check out the article here!

• PTS Update + Datamining: Discs. Dimensioneers rejoice as Trion has added a whole slew of disc-based building blocks to the PTS! There’s also a few other additions including new crafting achieves, Planetouched Wilds flag skins, a 5th Wilds wardrobe set found and more! Full info here.

• Primalist Info.
  • There’s a bug with Dervish’ Savage Twister causing it not to scale with weapon damage. [r]
  • Vulcanist has a variety of damage updates in latest PTS Update. Please perform some parses and post your results here.

• Dimensioneer Skype Channel. Are you an avid dimensioneer who wants to chat with the devs and fellow dimensioneers directly about dimensions? Send Morticus a PM; the Skype invites are still open! [r]

• Hardware Upgrade. Today, Trion put out a hardware upgrade for NA servers (no down-time). CM Ocho has confirmed that EU will be getting the same upgrade next week. [r]

• Lifter Mount Dance. Just a heads up that if you have a Lifter mount, you can type /mountdance to dance on top of the mount. However, only you can see it (other players can’t). (Thanks to Elyssinia for the info!)

• Site Update. A lot of changes have occured with all the recent PTS Updates, Livestreams and general posts from the devs. As a result, the PTS/Live Comparison page has gotten quite a few changes and clean-up.

• PTS Update. Yet another update was pushed through for the PTS. So far the Vulcanist DPS adjustments are up, crafting rift lures are BoA (compared to soulbound) and Act III of the Planetouched Wilds questchain is now available. (Thanks to Accol and m12342 for the info!) I’ll have a write-up with full information tomorrow.
  • Note: With 3.4 fast approaching, we’ll probably be seeing a lot of sizeable, frequent PTS Updates. If you have download limit issues, it’s best not to bother updating the PTS because you’ll be constantly re-downloading the same files with minor adjustments for bug fixes/etc. You can still keep up to speed with the PTS Updates and Datamining articles posted here.
