RIFT 3.4: Into the Wilds is almost here! A recent MMORPG.com video with Dead Simon placed the date at October 6th 2015, subject to any issues. In an announcement made about changes to Credit and Patron pricing, Director of Community Relations Linda “Brasse” Carlson mentioned that RIFT 3.4 will be released “on or about October 7, 2015”.
With just over a week until RIFT 3.4 comes out, it also means that there’s just over a week until the Primalist Pack becomes available! In previous weeks, RiftGrate gave away REX to help boost your Primalist fund, but it’s now time for the big one: a Primalist Pack giveaway and contest!
Contest/Giveaway Details
RiftGrate is giving away:
- 1x Primalist Calling Pack for the best response to the Contest Question.
- 1x Primalist Calling Pack to a random entry.
Primalist Calling Pack:
The Primalist Calling Pack contains the first six souls of the new Primalist calling that will be released with RIFT 3.4: Into the Wilds. The souls are: Dervish, Berserker, Titan, Preserver, Vulcanist and Typhoon.
The Pack will be available on the launch of 3.4 for 5,250 Credits (4,725 for Patrons).
Rules are simple:
- Giveaway Eligibility: Post a comment below with your ‘in-gamename@shardname’. Ensure your name@shard is 100% accurate.
- Contest Eligibility: If you want to enter to win the “best response” Primalist Pack, you’ll need to post a comment below with your ‘in-gamename@shardname’ as well as the answer to the Contest Question.
- If you do not answer the contest question, you will only be eligible for the “random entry” giveaway. If you do answer the contest question, you will be eligible for both.
- Both NA and EU players can participate.
- Please only one post per person.
- Entries close on Monday, 5th October 2015 at 11:59:59PM PDT. The winner for the ‘random player’ giveaway will be determined by using List Randomizer.
The reason for a Monday close is just in case Trion decides to launch 3.4 on Tuesday (Oct 6th) instead of the usual Wednesday patch time.
Contest Question
In 150 words or less, tell me why you want the Primalist Pack.
Judging:
No specific ‘criteria’, although I will probably favor responses that are interesting or seem to really want the Primalist. Knowledge of the calling and explaining for what and why you want to make use of the calling will probably help your entry.
Judge: Khortish is the sole judge. Decision on the winning entry is at the sole discretion of the judge.
Prize Distribution
Since the Primalist Calling Pack will not be available in-game until RIFT 3.4: Into the Wilds has launched, prizes will be sent out on the day the patch hits. Depending on patch times, it might take a few hours before I am able to send the packs to the winners.

Answer: A new calling always represents a new point of view of rift and of course new ways to solve both pve and pvp content. So this new calling will expand rift to outer limits.
First, I’d like to thank you for holding this contest and giving people like me, or in other words those without funds, a chance to play the Primalist. I started playing this game in closed beta and quickly came to love its’ systems. There was the innovative rifts and the diverse soul system and now this list of activities has only grown as time went on adding awesome things like minions and dimensions which I adore. After hitting max level (50), I ended up being a founding member of the still active guild ‘Sacred Fire’. There I met my future wife and made great friends who I have gotten to meet in the real world. We went on to become a casual raiding guild that was fairly successful. Just before the end of Storm Legion we had our first child and needed to take a step back from the game. After a year and a half I finally have some free time to enjoy Rift again but no funds to enjoy all of its’ aspect, hence the contest entry. So in short, please consider me for the giveaway and best of luck to everyone participating.

I only really played one class since starting Rift.
Sure I tested other classes, but the only one that stuck to me was the rogue.
I love my class, but I’m interested in trying something new and exciting! 🙂

I want the Primalist pack because I’ve experienced every other calling and soul in Rift to some extent, and I want to try something new. The mechanics and lore behind Primalist really appeals to me, especially as my primary character is a warrior. Changing from a combo point based, rotational class to a focus bar, priority based class that is more reactionary than rotational will breathe new life into Rift for me. Primal avatars will also be a nice change from Reaver’s lack of cool downs or the frantic button smashing of Alacrity and Wavelength.
As my favorite race is Bahmi, the concept of Primalist also appeals to me. Rift has focused on the planes, one at a time, for a while now, and moving to the Plane Touched Wilds seems like an interesting change of direction.

I want to start raiding, so a primalist would be very usefull for that, geting gear will be difficult but given that they can do it all and dont have a challenge for weapons it’d be easy to do.

Fufoo@Laethys requests the pack to aid the community and ensure the most accurate parses are recorded on high-traffic forums and websites. Having a plethora of account-bound leather gear of various levels in the bank, this would ensure rapid leveling to provide best practices for all tanks, healers, and damage dealers. Additionally, with so many active members of my guild , finding assistance to test new builds is trivial as we are also a very friendly guild (/shameless guild plug).
